While perusing various news sites today, the cheese happened upon two items of interest.
The first involves a family so involved in "defeating demons" that all ten of them must chant and pray all night. Well, that's certainly their right to try, except that they live in an apartment tower. If the cheese lived there, they'd be gettin' a heapin' helpin' of "demonic" action against them...mostly in the form of petty vandalism and threats.
The second is about a guy suing the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. No, it's not because of their stupid name. Apparantly, on Mother's Day 2005 the team gave away tote bags to all females in attendance to that days game. The guy claims it was discrimination against men. Really?! Is this what it's come to? All those years good people fought real racism and discrimination and now some guy can sue a business because he doesn't have a vagina on Mother's day? See why the cheese hates the OC?

The frigging guy got 4 totes!!! Now, I have another reason to hate lawyers.
Yeah, the team later sent him four totes...and this year just issued totes to the first 25,000 that showed up on Mother's day...but don't hate lawyers...they're a necessary evil, but they only have something to do when a-holes like this guy hire them...
It's people like this that make the system very unwieldy and disliked by all.
But again, lawyers are a necessary evil...we should all have the right to bring litigation if we feel we have been wronged...bit like flag burning really...the cheese has never burned a flag, but he'd rather live in a country where it's allowed as opposed to one where it'll get you thrown in prison...
as an afterthought, the judge did not throw the case out...so now this guy is going to bring a lawsuit against the angels...too bad he didn't do this when Disney still owned them...that mouse has some DEEP pockets...
How was this guy wronged? He got 4 totes!!! He got what he was complaining about is anyone else who was there and didn't get a tote getting a chunk of the cash he is going to get, no. The lawyer should be flogged in public for even taking this case. Since most are money grubbing scum.
And siad lawyer has "One count has put the number of such lawsuits filed by Rava at 30." 30 cases like this one this lawyer must be stopped!!!
